Rate: £750 per day

A fantastic opportunity exists to join as HR Director and provide overall direction and control of the HR function of a FTSE20 company. Managing a team of 10, with a current client base of c2000 spread across 3 sites, you will bring all your generalist HR experience and focus on building a first class HR function for a growing business in the UK.

This business was within the top 30 in the 2007 Sunday Times Top 100 and one of the Financial Times Top 10 Best UK Companies, they place enormous value on excellent customer service and their people. Working within a dynamic environment, you will have strong creative flair and be able to deliver your ideas into tangible solutions as well as deal with the more complex day to day issues.

Key Challenges:

 - Engage people through implementing strategies for employee engagement

 - Build and develop capability platforms that increase L&D and talent strategies

 - Translate corporate strategy into HR deliverables

 - Work and collaborate with Heads/Directors within the business unit

 - Driving forward change and influencing cultural change

 - Increase commercial focus and skill in performance management

Person Specification:

As a highly credible HR generalist, you will combine a strong degree or equivalent qualifications coupled with a track record of delivering significant value to an organisation through setting the people plan. You will display a stable work history and provide clear evidence of career progression strategically and operationally, with the ability to increase employee and organisational effectiveness. In addition to providing support and coaching to our business, it is essential that you develop the HR team within which you will lead and communicate what it takes to create a great place to work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a robust HR Director who is keen for a new challenge and looking to make a real impact in a commercially focused, matrixed environment. You will need to be self starter who posses strong communication and interpersonal skills and a prove track record of delivering leading edge HR initiatives.
