BIE Group Ltd  is a registered as a data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Use of Personal Data

The information that you give us about yourself is deemed to be “personal data” under this Act and we aim to ensure that we process such information in accordance with the principles set out in the Act.
By sending us your CV or supplying other personal data to BIE Group Ltd, by whatever means, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the statements below.

  • As an organisation, BIE Group Ltd may collect your personal details including but not limited to your name, contact details (together with you e-mail address) and other relevant information from your CV. This information is stored on our in-house database and will be accessible to appropriate Archer Mathieson staff. BIE Group Ltd will use such information to assess your suitability for positions which the company may seek to fill on behalf of its clients.
  • You warrant that the information contained in your CV or other document sent to BIE Group Ltd is true and accurate. While we do not undertake to verify such information we may do so at the request of our clients.
  • CVs and other personal data are accepted by us on the basis that we may use that information in discussion with our clients where appropriate. Although BIE Group Ltd will use reasonable efforts to ensure that no improper use is made of personal information disclosed in this way we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage, which may arise through such disclosure to third parties.
  • Except as provided above BIE Group Ltd will not sell or disclose any information about you or your personal details to third parties without your consent or unless we are required to do so by law

It is not our policy to seek sensitive personal information unless required for recruitment purposes, legally required or reasonably necessary for our ongoing relationship with you. Sensitive information includes data concerning race or ethnic origin, physical or mental health, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, political opinion, trade union membership or criminal records and proceedings. We therefore suggest that you do not offer sensitive information of this nature unless specifically requested to do so. If you do provide sensitive information for any reason, we accept this as your consent to use such information in the ways described in this policy.
You have the right to ask us to stop using your personal information for future recruitment opportunities. If you do not want us to use your information for future opportunities or want to request that we delete or amend the information from our database, please email: info@biegroupltd.com.
As set out in the Act you have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to correct any inaccuracies. We have the right to make a small charge for providing you with this information. Please email any requests to info@biegroupltd.com.

Visitors to BIE Group Ltd websites
BIE Group Ltd gather information and statistics collectively about all visitors to our websites, but only use such data in aggregate form (data that is not individually identifiable). This information helps us to understand our users, assess which areas of our website are accessed most frequently and which services are used the most, thereby helping us improve our online services for the benefit of our users. Please be assured that we will never disclose individual names or identifying information in compiling such statistics.

To help us collect this information, we use Google Analytics software. Google Analytics gathers non-personal data regarding the visitors to our site using cookies and code, which is embedded in the site.
