Richard has been with Archer Mathieson for more than 9 years and focuses on the recruitment of senior finance personnel, across a multitude of sectors in commerce and industry. Having trained as a chartered accountant, Richard has over 15 years experience of the recruitment market, primarily on UK based roles with increasing experience of recruiting internationally.
A BSc. graduate from UC Swansea, Richard also gained an M.Eng. from UC Cardiff prior to embarking upon a career in finance with one of the UK’s leading accountancy practices.

Nick spent his early career in client development roles with a FTSE 100 plc where he managed key commercial relationships within the energy, construction, utilities and the food & drink industries. With more than 10 years’ experience in interim management and executive search, he has a well-established reputation as one of the industry’s leading interim management providers.
Nick joined BIE Interim Executive in 2007 and held the role of Managing Director following founder Martin Wood’s sale of the business to a group of investors. He led the new management team during the company’s transition and transformation from privately-held ownership to becoming the senior-level interim management division of AIM-listed Hexagon Group.
In January 2010 the management team of BIE took part in an MBO supported by Barclays Ventures to create The Cornhill Partnership.
Nick is a graduate in International Business and Modern Languages from UK and French business schools.
Layla Jaff joined our Finance Interim practice in January 2012 and focuses on providing Executive level Interims across the UK and the International market.
She has come on board to both strengthen our UK offering and to grow our International offering.
Layla has 10 years experience across the Interim Management space; previously working in the Executive Interim team at Penna, Michael Page and Frazer Jones. She has worked across several industry sectors at the senior level – having set up a number of Interim and Contracts businesses in the past. Her experience also ranges across HR, Finance and Commercial roles.
Layla holds an International Tax and Law degree and speaks 5 languages fluently – having lived in 12 different countries she truly has a strong passion, understanding and awareness for the International markets.
